Our winemaking starts with grapes ideally suited to the climate and soils of this special region—grapes that love long hot summer days and nights cooled by California’s Delta breezes. With seven estate-grown grape varieties, we carefully craft our wines for a natural balance of freshness, richness and depth. At Séka Hills, our goal is to produce wines that express the unique qualities of the agriculturally rich Capay Valley. The Tribe began growing olives in 2008 with 82 acres of super high density Arbequina olive trees.  With an eye to offering a wider selection of estate-grown single varieties, the Tribe planted an additional 84 acres of Picual, Frantoio, and Taggiasca. With the growing demand for extra virgin olive oil, the Tribe has expanded its estate olive orchards to nearly 400 acres. The olives are harvested and delivered immediately to the on-site, custom-designed Alpha Laval mill, producing the Séka Hills extra virgin olive oils. The Mill, completed in 2012, serves the milling needs of both the Tribe and the growing ranks of Yolo County and regional olive growers. Olive Orchards and Mill... ...and Vineyards
